With the goal of supporting the expansion of U.S. business interests and activities in Singapore, the 2023 Singapore Business Mission aims to highlight Singapore as a proven testbed for innovation in next-generation technologies and business models, as well as a policy and regulatory leader in ASEAN. The Business Mission will create opportunities to engage with the Government of Singapore and reinforce stronger U.S. economic engagement with Singapore and in ASEAN. The US-ASEAN Business Council is excited to invite you to join the SME Workshop in Singapore on March 7, 2023, to celebrate International Women's Day. The workshop is supported by Visa and also in partnership with Enterprise Singapore, Singapore Business Federation, and SGTech. The workshop will take place at Visa University (71 Robinson Road #09-01, Singapore) and have a hybrid option for those who wish to join online. Our topic will mainly focus on “Building SMEs’ Readiness to Enable Singapore as the Digital Tech Hub” and especially to empower women through entrepreneurship, digital upskilling, and business resiliency. The Digital Economy Leadership Dialogue Series in Singapore is a series of industry dialogues with the Singapore Government meant to exchange views on the rapidly evolving landscape in both Singapore and ASEAN.
The 2023 Singapore Business Mission Planning Call # 1 will discuss details relevant to the upcoming 2023 Singapore Business Mission. Topics include mission themes, proposed mission meetings, mission fees, mission materials, and other important information such as logistics and hotel bookings.
The US-ASEAN Business Council is registering senior-level executives for its annual Business Mission to Singapore on May 23-25, 2022. The mission will consist of bilateral meetings with senior government officials and other priority stakeholders. This will be an in-person mission as may be allowed by relevant guidelines and restrictions. Participants should plan to arrive in Singapore by Sunday, May 22. The mission starts on May 23, Monday morning and ends on May 25, Wednesday afternoon. There will be a pre-mission meeting and briefing in the morning of May 23, Monday. The deadline for receipt of registration and mission materials is COB Friday, May 6, 2022.

We are honored to have Dr. He Ruimin, Chief AI Officer at the Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI), Singapore, as our guest speaker. This call will provide a valuable opportunity for members to engage with Dr. He Ruimin and discuss Singapore’s strategic AI objectives, including the development and implementation of the national AI strategy and initiatives such as Singapore’s AI talent development plans. In the second half of the call, the USABC team will provide updates on the following ongoing and upcoming activities and programs for both the Singapore and ICT Committees.
