US-ASEAN Business Council's New SVP Pays Courtesy Visits to Key Philippine Government Officials
(Manila, Philippines) – From November 28 to December 1, the US-ASEAN Business Council’s (the Council) newly appointed Senior Vice President (SVP) and Regional Managing Director (RMD) Ambassador Brian McFeeters (ret.) paid significant courtesy visits to key Philippine government officials, fostering discussions on collaborative opportunities to strengthen bilateral relations in trade and investment between the United States and the Philippines.
During the visit, the Council had the privilege of meeting with the U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines MaryKay Carlson, Speaker of the House Martin Romualdez, Executive Secretary and retired Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin, and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Eli Remolona, Jr. In these meetings, the Council aimed to facilitate the growth of US investments in the Philippines by identifying key areas for collaboration with the Philippine government.
The Council welcomed the administration’s openness to continue collaborative efforts and expressed its commitment to further supporting US companies operating in the Philippines. The government also reaffirmed its continuous encouragement for the Council’s initiatives in the country.
