Reina Kato
Associate
Reina Kato is an Associate at the US-ASEAN Business Council’s Jakarta office, where she supports initiatives and advocacy in the country. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Universitas Gadjah Mada. Reina specializes in policy analysis, research, and event coordination, fostering collaboration between businesses and government stakeholders in Indonesia. She joined the Council in 2024 after gaining experience in sustainability and trade.
Reina Kato joined the US-ASEAN Business Council as an Associate in the Jakarta office in February 2025. In her role, she focuses on policy analysis and research to support the Council’s advocacy efforts and helps foster collaboration between businesses and government stakeholders in Indonesia.
Reina started as an intern at the Council in June 2024, where she gained valuable experience managing multiple projects related to policy analysis. Prior to joining the Council, Reina have developed her research expertise through roles at the Center for World Trade Studies at Universitas Gadjah Mada and other think tanks. At the Center for World Trade Studies, she contributed to research on international trade issues, including the tobacco industry, circular economy, and health regulations.
Reina holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Universitas Gadjah Mada, specializing in International Political Economy. Her thesis focused on the EU’s sustainability leadership and circular economy practices in developing countries.
