Rafael Frankel
Director of Public Policy, Southeast and South Asia
Dr Rafael Frankel is the Director of Public Policy for Southeast & South Asia at Meta Platforms, where he leads Meta’s public policy team for 18 countries across the region from the company’s Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore.
Dr Frankel is a leading expert in Asia-Pacific public policy, government affairs, political economics, business and investment, having spent most of the past two decades living in and working on the region.
A former foreign correspondent, Dr Rafael was based in Bangkok for five years and Tel Aviv for five years, covering Southeast Asia and the Middle East, respectively, for American newspapers including The Boston Globe, The Chicago Tribune, and The Christian Science Monitor.
