Burtt brings to the role more than 25 years of experience in diplomacy, trade, international business, and consulting across four continents. She has a deep understanding of the region, having served as a senior Australian diplomat across Southeast Asia and as former Group CEO of Asialink, Australia’s leading center for Asia engagement. Previously, Burtt held Asia leadership positions in Stripe, Visa, and McKinsey & Company.
Burtt is a passionate advocate for diversity and development and has served as an Executive Board Member with key business associations and non-profits in Singapore, Australia, and the United States. She is a Board member of the US-ASEAN Business Council and Harpswell, an organization which supports women’s leadership initiatives in Southeast Asia. She is a former Board member of AmCham Singapore, the U.S. National Centre for APEC and the Singapore Institute for International Affairs.
Burtt is a graduate of the University of Sydney with an honors degree in Economics and Political Science. She has a post graduate degree in Foreign Affairs and Trade from the Australian National University. Burtt completed her executive leadership program from the University of California, Berkeley, Hass School of Business.
