Eric Starr
CEO
Eric is a purpose-driven leader with 30 years of experience in the finance and tech industries. Motivated by the power of business to make a positive impact, Eric has founded and sold multiple companies. Before starting UltraPass, Eric served as the SVP of operations and risk at Accord Financial Corp (ACD:TSX), and was a partner at CapX Partners, where he was responsible for business development, strategy, operational efficiency, and digital transformation. CapX was sold to Accord in 2017.
Previously, he founded and ran Starr Capital Management, a quant-driven hedge fund focused on Japan’s capital markets that was acquired by Forest Investment Management in 2005. He previously served as the chairman of the board at Propel Fuels dorm 2014-2023, a company dedicated to making clean and sustainable fuels more accessible. Through innovative thinking and strong team building Eric has kept organizations ahead of industry trends and helped them to adapt to changing market conditions.
Eric has a BA from Brandies University and an MBA from New York University.
