Executive Assistant
Arkkarapa Pornchokborvorn joined the US-ASEAN Council as an Executive Assistant to the Chief Representative – Laos, Myanmar, Thailand. Prior joining the Council, she interned with the Department of Trade Negotiations, Ministry of Commerce. As an intern, she assisted on Thailand – EFTA states FTA negotiations meeting that was held in Bangkok. Moreover, she was handpicked to be in a welcoming group to host EFTA delegates for a factory tour in Thailand.

Arkkarapa Pornchokborvorn joined the Council in August 2024 as an Executive Assistant to the Chief Representative in the Council’s Bangkok office. She is responsible for providing a vital support to the Chief Representative (Laos, Myanmar, Thailand), overseeing general administration tasks for Bangkok office and assisting in preparations for Council business missions and events across these regions. Arkkarapa achieved her bachelor’s degree with a second-class honor from Mahidol University International College in 2024, majoring in International Relations and Global Affairs, and minoring in French Language. She was represented as an Exchange Student in France for a year. She participated in numerous events both inside and outside the university which gave her a wealth of experience in collaboration and management.

Before joining the Council, Arkkarapa obtained valuable experience through her internship at the Department of Trade Negotiations, Ministry of Commerce. She gained first-hand experience of international trade negotiations by attending several meetings with delegates from public and private sector domestically and internationally. She assisted administrative work which related to Thailand’s FTA negotiation for instance, researching tariffs rates, arranging and translating Thailand’s position papers.
