U.S. Ambassador Kagan Makes his Role Official

On March 20, Ambassador Edgard D. Kagan formally presented his credentials as the 22nd United States Ambassador to Malaysia to the newly appointed King, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim. The ceremony and exchange of records provide Ambassador Kagan with the status required to parley with all the Malaysian Government’s ministries and institutions. In a verbal statement, Ambassador Kagan emphasized his commitment “to strengthen the US-Malaysia Comprehensive Partnership, rooted in economic, security, and people-to-people ties,” all vital matters for the U.S. diplomatic and business community.
