On November 19, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet announced the reappointment of Prak Sokhonn as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs, replacing Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sok Chenda Sophea, who will remain a DPM without portfolio. Prak Sokhonn held the position of Foreign Affairs Minister from 2016-2023 and went on to serve as first vice president of the Senate under former Prime Minister and current Senate President Hun Sen. This move comes as part of a series of cabinet reshuffles under Prime Minister Hun Manet, since taking office in 2023. Earlier in September, he swapped positions between Sok Soken, who became Inspection Minister, and Hou Hak, who became Tourism Minister.
