Concurrently, he is serving as Governor at Singapore American Chamber of Commerce, Vice Chair of US-ASEAN Business Council’s Committees on Sustainability and Supply Chain, Advisory Member of POWERS in Singapore (a NGO funded by Ministry of Education in Singapore), and Advisory Member of Airbus’ STAR program (a global network of ~200 business executives). He has previously been serving as Chair of US-ASEAN Business Council’s Infrastructure Committee and Board Director of Europe-ASEAN Business Alliance.
Jannik has a keen interest in giving back to local communities and leading initiatives related to Public-Private Partnerships, Sustainability/ESG, Smart Cities, Supply Chain Resiliency, Advanced Manufacturing, and Healthcare.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jannik was a core member of 3M’s Emergency Response Team, forging Public-Private Partnerships and working closely with governments throughout Asia Pacific to mitigate risk and ensure continuous supplies of critical PPE products to healthcare workers on the frontline and first responders. The team earned the Singapore President’s Certificate of Commendation for its significant contributions to the fight against COVID-19.
Jannik has 20+ years of work experience from highly regulated sectors in both Europe and Asia Pacific. For most of his private sector career, he has served in corporate executive positions leveraging his expertise in General Management, Government Affairs, Strategic Marketing & Communication, Crisis Management, and Business Development.
Previously, Jannik served as APAC Vice President & Managing Director for Denmark’s largest Defense company, APAC Vice President of Government Relations & North-East Asia Head of Sales for the world’s largest Renewable Energy company, as well as in other corporate leadership positions in Central – and Eastern Europe, following a career with the Danish Government working in various ministries and as a diplomat.
Jannik is multi-lingual and holds three academic degrees (Europe/US/Asia). Aside from executive training at IMD and the Wharton School, he has done specialized military training and holds the rank of First Lieutenant in the Danish Armed Forces. He was among the first Danish officers to do international service during the war in the Former Yugoslavia in the 1990s. He is married with two children.
